Salonpas® (sa-lom-pause) is a Japanese Topical Analgesic available in most Oriental Food Stores and lately at Walmart® Pharmacies.  I recently found it in a local Cosco Membership store in bulk quantities. See their US website for an up-to-date list of where to get it.

It is an external pain relieving patch manufactured by the Hisamitsu Pharmaceutical Company, Incorporated, Tosu Saga, Japan. Manufacturer claims it is for temporary relief of minor aches & pains of muscles and joints associated with Arthritis, Simple Backache, Strains, Bruises, and Sprains.

  • USE ONLY AS DIRECTED and again we do not recommend this to replace treatment by your physician.
  • Packaging lists active ingredients as Methyl Salicyate,
    dl-camphor, l-Menthol, and Tocopherol Acetate.
